Who is behind Popokatea?
Popokatea is a one woman web design studio based in Newton Abbot, Devon run by Laura Whitehead.
Designing for the web part time since 2002, she decided to finally fly from the nest to go full time with Popokatea in July of 2008. Since then she's designed and developed over 30 websites from tiny microsites through to sites for complex data presentation. Before focussing on Popokatea full-time, Laura worked in the nonprofit / third sector for over 15 years, and supported a wide range of organisations and communities with their knowledge and information development, and their collaborative partnership working.
Laura mostly works alone on projects, but for larger web and data projects and event reporting works with a small team of superbly skilled associates to be able to deliver the best service to fulfil your needs.
